Biography

James S. Mowery, Jr . (Partner), was born in Circleville, Ohio, and has resided in Upper Arlington, Columbus, Ohio, since early 1973.  He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University, B.A., and received his J.D. from Capital University Law School where he was a member of the Capital University Law Review and was selected as a Member of Curia.  He also attended Harvard University.  Mr. Mowery has focused his practice in two primary areas, employment and labor law, as well as family law.  Professionally, Mr. Mowery was selected by his peers to be rated AV for high integrity, skill and professionalism, the highest rating for Martindale-Hubbell bestowed by peers.  Mr. Mowery served as an Adjunct Professor at The Ohio State University Law School (employment and civil rights litigation) and The Ohio State University, Department of Sociology (sociology of the law).  He has served as special counsel for a variety of governmental entities.  Mr. Mowery has maintained an active community commitment in supporting a variety of community organizations which focus on helping children and supporting the arts.
