Preparing For Your Meeting
When you schedule your meeting with an attorney, our staff will tell you what, if anything, you need to do to prepare. We may ask you to bring documents relevant to your case, such as your employment contract if this is related to a contract matter. If there is any relevant evidence, from paystubs and other documents to email correspondence, we may recommend that you bring that as well.
One of the main things we will ask is that you be prepared to explain your situation. If you have not done so already, it may be valuable to write down everything that has happened so you do not omit any details during the discussion. This includes information about any witnesses or steps you have already taken to attempt to resolve the issue. The more we can learn at the outset, the less we have to catch up on later.
Similarly, if you have questions for us about your situation, your case, the law or the legal process, you may want to have them written down so you do not forget. Of course, we always take care to thoroughly explain our perspective, the law and what is going to happen next.
We have been handling cases like yours for more than 40 years. Our reputation for success has been built in large part on being clear and thorough, so you can be confident that we will provide you with proper guidance before, during and after every meeting with one of our lawyers.
